Week Three - Amy Adkins

Amy stepped on stage with some seriously pink hair, and my first comment was, "Well if you're gonna' do Pink Hair, THAT is the way to do Pink hair." It was a perfect Highlight job. I later found out she is a Hair Stylist so now I know why :-) I was also tickled to read on her Registration that she had been in NYSSMA. I was always a big NYSSMA girl myself with the Operetta solos and whatnot.

I could tell that she had some theatrical background in her, and this girl has one HELL of an instrument. VERY powerful. I only thought this of one other contestant -- but I really think with a few professional voice lessons that Amy could knock songs out of the park. She's a star. Emotional and strong, she has a GORGEOUS voice. She could be a tad more expressive as far as her stage presence, but overall I think she has what it takes and just needs to fine tune a bit.
