A little bird told me that Mary drove over an hour to get to Singers for this, and I can see why. This woman had SOUL!!! I had no idea that it was coming when she started, but if Janice Joplin came back from the deal and was reincarnated, she took the shape of Mary Nelson! She pulled "Long As I Can See" by Credence Clearwater Revival out of her... well... TOES! Sultry and raspy and SOULFUL, she was perfect for this song and save for a couple of pitch variables - did a great job!
